Digital Tattoo

Food for Thought

So the other day in my Facebook page I got a notification of a 5years old video I had, you know that Facebook from time to time would show you those memories from a same day from 1-5 years ago... so yeah I got a notification and I saw it and I was like "OMG!! my voice!, my hair! What the heck?!?!" ...Then I had another notification of a post I did like 3years back and I read it and didn't even understood what I was saying or what was the propose to it. I felt like I was reading a post from someone else, I felt shocked and some sort of embarrassed. The first thing that came to my mind was that the Internet really doesn't erase or disappear things, but hides them for a while but it appears now and then. But theres also been good memories that have popped up that I had forgotten about so when those come up I feel better hahaha...
But memories like this makes all the bad one not so bad!

Now that I'm 24 years old and a mom I see life differently and of course part of it it's because I've matured as well, I realize that my generation post anything and everything and sometimes that can be a good thing but also a bad thing; Funny thing is that my teacher was talking about this the other day and it just reminded me of those "embarrassing" comments and teenage things I used to post. She asked a question that really made me think about all my post in Facebook, Instagram etc. she said "Will all of those posts effect you professionally in any way?, Will they help you? or Will they be indifferent?" Even though my posting wouldn't affect my professional life in a negative way NOW, I feel that it hasn't got to the level where I can say with certainty that will separate and distinguish me professionally, and I defiantly don't want to be looked at is indifferent my posts! but hopefully NOW with this blog and my Professional Portfolio (Its a working progress BTW) employers can see a different side of me beside as a young mom going to school and working my butt (excuse my language) off for my future that my daughter and I deserve.

Its like my teacher said all of the things you put out there in the internet its like a Digital Tattoo, you can't completely erase it! its the same thing as a regular tattoo! even when you try to remove it with laser or other treatments.

So people when posting on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Blogs, etc. REMEMBER those questions that my teacher asked and tell me your answers I would love to know!! Happy Posting! :)

CCSS

Class Discussion

Common Core State Standard (CCSS)

Okay... Uff not going to lie I'm so confused on this topic but I did understand a few things that I'm going point out that I understood...These standards define what knowledge and skills, students need during elementary and secondary schooling in order to be able to complete and succeed in post-secondary education and work force. Meaning that the CCSS establishes critical thinking, reasoning, technology literacy, etc. Teachers need to achieve this in there classroom, which does NOT effect their way of teaching, what they can teach, to what extent, or how to really manage your classroom. So it's not just all fun and game folks we as teacher have our work cut out for us; But i'm going to give you the perfect presentation of what exactly we need to do as figuring out how to do a CCSS that my teacher gave us---> How to read and unpack CCSS <---

So she said to make a lesson plan according to the CCSS and she gave us a link so when can get an idea on how to start!
